I relocated to Javea in Spain in 2017 and yes I am a marketing consultant, coach and freelance writer.
I did face a life of drier weather, mosquitos and endless people wanting to stay “just for a few days”…old friends are certainly welcome company as it can get a little lonely here in my villa and sometimes it is nice to see a familiar face. 2016 sowed the seeds for many of my friends and colleagues to establish themselves in new careers, relocate to other countries and change their lifestyles.
Fortunately in July I was asked by IBM to write content for their new THINKMarketing blog, I submitted my first 2 articles in August and they subsequently asked me to write another three. This fantastic opportunity has enabled me to hone my writing skills and have my content shared by the IBM Futurist community which I am also grateful to be a member.
2016 was not an easy year and I look at 2017 as the year to really cement the relationships that I have been working on over the last five years. Many contacts are now taking the time to speak with me for one-off marketing projects, personal branding and longer-term partnerships.
